Manager for Reporting and Controlling team / Finance Manager for Alfa Laval Europe AB

But now we want to be even better! We’re looking for a Manager for Reporting and Controlling team / Finance Manager for Alfa Laval Europe AB. So, what are you going to do today?

We are now searching for an experienced controller or accountant to lead a team of finance professionals. Alfa Laval Europe AB is the shared services center in Lund, Sweden that provides financial support services to our European sales companies. We work with a web-based, automated ERP solution; One4AL/M3 for which you will take part in optimizing the system solutions.

About the job
You will have direct management responsibility of a central team of eight finance professionals. The team has primary responsibility for accounting and internal reporting for 22 sales companies.  

As the Manager for Reporting and Controlling team, you are a member of the Alfa Laval Europe AB / Shared Service Management team. Your task is to contribute not only in accounting / reporting related areas but also in the quest towards our shared service vision - More with less and faster and safer! 

The team will:

  • implement and run centralized reporting and controlling tasks and processes
  • continuously interact with the finance competence center (FCC)
  • maintain finance setup as defined by FCC 
  • perform daily monitoring and ensure data integrity 
  • build and maintain competence and perform end-user training
  • be superusers for the centralized processes
  • build and maintain backup arrangements
  • maintain up to date work instructions
  • work in close coordination with local finance departments

As the manager, you will lead and coach the team to continuously improve the delivery in terms of time, quality and scope. You will also be responsible for the training and development of the team and ensuring proper documentation of the reporting and controlling processes. 

Who are you?
You have a university degree within the field of finance with focus on accounting, finance or controlling and a minimum of 5 years experience from similar tasks. We expect that you have worked in an international setting and that you have management experience. You have a good understanding of accounting and finance, a clear business interest and have experience of working in management teams.

You need to be able to work with both day-to-day accounting activities as well as more complex problem solving and analysis.  

Since the job requires extensive contacts both with the IT/IS organisation as well as with the sales companies - you find it easy to communicate and co-operate across functions, organizational levels as well as country borders. You are experienced and interested in system solutions and fluent in spoken and written English.
