As our new Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) you will be responsible for managing the Nordic marketing team and for further developing the marketing department into a strategic, sales-support oriented and digitally driven marketing function. The role of the RMM is a hands-on role with responsibility for managing the full mix of marketing activities for the Nordics’ markets, with responsibility for the region’s marketing team to create marketing synergy across the region.

You will plan, own and implement the multiple-channel marketing approach, underpinned with credible content, to support sales with revenue generation. The role involves planning, developing and executing assigned segment, product and solution campaigns. You will also partner closely with the Regional President, Managing Directors, Segment Managers and Sales Managers to provide the right level of marketing support and partnership to meet the region’s sales objectives. You report directly to the President Nordics and you can be located in either Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo or Copenhagen.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop the Marketing strategy and implement Marketing plans for the Nordic region, in line with global business strategy, brand positioning and route to market

  • Gain in-depth knowledge on Customer / Market segments and Competitor activity

  • Overseeing the Marketing budget incl. management reporting and follow-up

  • Overall responsibility for correct implementation of Brand management and Corporate Identity

  • Lead, motivate and inspire the Nordic Marketing Team. Train and upskill team in digital marketing, it’s application and analytics. Facilitate collaboration between the team members and share marketing best practices from the region

  • Lead the team to design and execute a digital strategy for all campaigns, including social media, online assets, website & content. In addition, own external channels for publishing content (Blogs), sharing platforms (YouTube), discussion forums (WebEx/Live Chats) and social media channels

  • To design and deliver campaigns / programs to company brand and strategy, and track and evaluate these activities and measure performance (KPIs) and effectiveness (ROI)

  • The RMM will capture key insights about the needs and desires of prospects, customers (Direct and Distribution) and partners, and then feed those into the country marketing plans

  • Be responsible for the creation and management of all content and products on the regions websites and the continuous maintenance of the sites. Initiate continuous optimization of the website and digital marketing channels to drive greater traffic, conversion and revenue

  • Create Content that will engage, educate and inform customers through the use of digital and social marketing techniques blended with traditional activities such as events through a multi-channel approach

  • To manage the external communications, PR, crisis communications and advertising within journals

  • Develop and maintain the marketing calendar aligned with the other regions and play an active role in the global Marketing environment

Your background
You have university degree in International Marketing or equivalent in a relevant, commercial field and a broad general marketing and management background from companies in the industry (B-2-B), complemented with several years of digital experience. This has given you a strong commercial understanding and tactical experience in using traditional as well as online and mobile communication platforms. Experience in working remotely with colleagues from the other Nordic countries is highly desirable with a market knowledge within the industry in the Nordic countries. We also believe that you have experience from managing a team. You are fluent in one Scandinavian language as well as in both written and verbal English.

Your personality
You are a self-driven senior marketing professional, with an analytical approach and excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions. You also have strong people management and leadership skills with the ability to attract and develop skilled marketing specialists and digital freelancers as well as manage suppliers, who deliver specialized marketing services. As a leader you are well-structured and professional project leader with strong team building skills, who naturally takes responsibility for both projects and people. To fit into our culture and values you also need to have a high level of engagement and empathy with a focus on results and quality.

Travel requirements
With a full Nordic responsibility and employees currently in both Denmark and Sweden, the role involves some traveling, (primarily within the Nordic region). Approximately 30% domestic and international travel will be required.

Computer skills
Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of CRM software solutions (salesforce.com) and CMS. Experience using Google Analytics and using the Adobe Creative Suite packages. Social Media tools.
