The Nordic Development Fund (NDF) is a multilateral development finance institution established in 1989 by the Nordic countries – Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The main responsibility of the Managing Director is to provide strategic and operational leadership in shaping NDF’s future strategic role, value proposition and orientation within the Nordic and wider international development and climate finance architecture. The Managing Director will lead and supervise NDF staff in their daily tasks of identifying, developing and implementing operations addressing climate change and development challenges. This includes cross-sectoral linkages to the sustainable development goals, as well as the financial, administrative and personnel management of the Fund. Furthermore, the Managing Director will be responsible for reporting, outreach activities and external stakeholder relations. This includes profiling of NDF in relevant international and Nordic fora as well as presenting its work in meetings and conferences.
The Managing Director reports to NDF’s Board of Directors.
