Fresenius Kabi is looking to recruit a sales and marketing oriented Business Unit Manager to develop the medical device business and lead the Swedish business unit into the future. The Business Unit Manager is responsible for an organisation consisting of 5 dedicated professionals, which includes sales representatives and field service technicians.

The Business Unit Manager holds a key position within Fresenius Kabi and form part of the Swedish management team. With a visionary approach and an inspirational leadership your task will be manage and develop your team, sales and technical support, to ensure that resources are optimally allocated. In order to achieve the overall target for the business unit you will make sure that each individual is measured on defined and clear targets (KPIs). Together with your team you are expected to develop and implement a successful and profitable growth strategy for the medical device business, both short and long term.

You will travel approximately 50 % of your time within Sweden together with your sales representatives, but occasionally also to other European locations for internal meetings and training. Developing customer platforms and customers relations is a central part of your assignment. You are expected to continue to build on Fresenius Kabi’s positive reputation to even more establish the company as a quality supplier and secure customer loyalty. Together with your sales representatives you will meet and connect with key decision makers/key opinion leaders in Sweden. Primarily you will build relations with relevant medical personnel at selected hospitals, but also professionals within purchase at the county councils (Landstingen).  

An exciting product launch will form part of your assignment. The business model is focused on sales via tenders to hospitals.

A strong ownership and drive to independently set direction for the team is essential. To ensure that client needs are always met, the position requires an execution orientated mind-set and a focus on solutions to develop the business unit. The Business Unit Manager will be based at Fresenius Kabi’s Swedish headquarter in Uppsala and reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, also based in Uppsala.

We are looking for a qualified candidate with an educational background that with preference involves a university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Finance and/or any medical oriented discipline. You are used to work independently and have a documented track record with at least 2-3 years of experience as Commercial Leader e.g. Sales Manager or equivalent. Experience from the medical device industry is required. We expect excellent languages skills; Swedish as well as English.
