Commercial profile with technical background * Solution Sales for industry, energy and off-shore
There is great potential in the entire Nordic region for Promat and Microtherm solutions, and the company is now investing further in the Nordic region. As an Area Sales Engineer you will be responsible for the technical sales and solution selling of products for high temperature applications, which are used in a number of niche industries throughout Sweden. Supported by internal training seminars, the Sales Excellence Team and Product Managers in Europe you will grow into a position of strong technical knowledge for both the products and their application. You will report to the Nordic Sales Manager.
The Area Sales Engineer will be responsible for the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy and to position Promat, an Etex company, as the leading reference for high performance thermal insulation in Sweden. You will ensure that the sales and profit targets are reached. The overall responsibility for the role is to grow Etex Industry (Promat) business in the Swedish and later the Norwegian market. This implies that you are expected to lead and grow the business, develop and present technical business solutions and find new clients.
You will assist in the development of an agreed business plan and annual sales budget for Sweden and Norway. Develop key account plans and execute sales strategy for the target customers in the focus market segments of PROMAT. (OEM manufacturers, Heavy industry and later Marine/ship-building, Off-shore and Energy) in close cooperation with the Nordic Sales Manager, segment managers and product managers of the Etex Industry division.
You have a technical background, either through education or through a solid experience in complex technical industrial sales. Relevant education such as engineer, mechanical engineer or process technologist would be of interest. Ideally you have knowledge about fire protection, thermal insulation or production processes under extreme temperatures, but it is not a requirement. You will get intensive training in the products both on the job and at one of the many training modules at the Etex Academy in Belgium to equip you to handle this challenging position. Therefore, it is important that you have some experience of an outgoing / commercial role with sales, consulting, customer service or as a product manager. You speak and write fluent English and Swedish.
Geographically you will cover Sweden initially, but later also areas in Norway. We believe you live in southwest of Sweden, between Gothenburg and Malmö. You work from your home office with easy access to motorway and airport. Promat can offer you the opportunity to grow your sales skills and technical knowledge of high performance insulation products. We are looking forward to you being a part of a dynamic and changing organization.
