Mixed strategic and operational role with a global scope.

As Quality Manager Operations you will work within a high priority area of DeLaval.

You will be a member of the Global Operations Management team.

Our new Quality Manager Operations will mix strategic work, like setting global quality standards and processes, with hands-on operational quality management at our different sites. It is important for us to further develop our ways of working with quality in a smart and structured way and at the same time increase the pace in our quality improvement.

As Quality Manager Operations you’ll work with 2 teams with 6-8 members in Europe and interact with production/ site managers, as well as local quality responsible and R&D functions.

Key Responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Create common standards for the quality work in the company by setting a global process.

  • Define and implement quality standards adapted to local settings where needed.

  • Drive and participate in yearly quality revisions.

  • Approve new products from a quality perspective before they go to market.

  • Strong emphasis on hands on quality work - working with production/site. managers as well as local quality responsible and R&D functions.

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s level degree desirable minimum, or matching knowledge.

  • Several years of experience from quality management.

  • Strong personal operational experience within quality management, preferably from the manufacturing industry.

  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of production and logistic processes.

  • Solid technical background.

  • Experience in leading successful change projects.

  • Experience of working cross borders in an international company.

  • Experience of working with senior management and of influencing in a matrix organization.

  • Good understanding of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts.

You need to be fluent in English. Good skills in the German and/or Swedish languages are a strong merit.
