The Credit Risk function at EnterCard is responsible for setting policies that determine to whom EnterCard is prepared to lend, and the maximum amounts that can be lent to individual customers. They use statistical modelling and other analytical tools to predict the probability that individual credit applicants will be unable to repay the money lent to them. Their objectives are both to ensure that EnterCard does not take a level of credit risk that endangers its financial performance and to ensure that EnterCard fulfils its ethical responsibility to act as a responsible lender. Entercards partners receive tailored financial solutions which meet the customers’ or the members’ needs. In order to manage this, EnterCard uses analytical methods to find solutions which strengthen the relationship between the partners and their customers.

As a Credit Risk Analyst within Collections & Recoveries at EnterCard you will contribute to the continual optimisation of Credit Risk strategies in all of the markets in which EnterCard operates, through application of industry-leading analytics. Your reports and strategies will also determine further actions within the Credit Risk Operation team in the direction of customer relations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Build and maintain an advanced level of knowledge of Collections & Recoveries processes.
  • Perform analysis using industry-leading methods and applying a “test-and-learn” approach.
  • Account for practical factors that may have an impact on analytical outcomes, e.g. operational issues affecting performance data.
  • Collaborate with other Entercard teams in the completion of analytical tasks, including the Collections & Recoveries Operations teams.
  • Involve the Collections & Recoveries Operations teams at all stages of analytical activity, and proactively seek their inputs on factors such as the impact of operational events on performance and the implement ability of potential changes.
  • Provide regular commentary and insights to stakeholders on performance against expectations, trends and emerging risk/opportunities.
  • Respond to queries from stakeholders on matters relating to Credit Risk Collections & Recoveries strategies or performance.
  • Contribute to the Credit Risk control framework through documenting strategy changes and operating controls as required.

Credit Risk are responsible for managing the balance between risk and reward across all products and countries. In this role, you will be collaborating with colleagues across all functions from Marketing to Finance to IT and you will report to Head of Credit Risk - Impaired Asset Management. As a member of Credit Risk Collections & Recoveries you will be joining an energized, self-going and positive team working in a fast-paced environment.

Background and personal qualities
To be successful in this role you have a minimum of 1 year of experience within banking and/or Credit cards and/or Collections. You have experience of SAS or similar programming experience and a university degree.

The role will be a part of an international team. English will be the daily language in your role and a proficiency in both oral and written communication is essential. Other Nordic languages are a plus.

You have an analytical mindset and are self-going, prepared to take action without given commando. A desire to share information and expertise and best-practice-sharing are also important attributes.
