They operate in a number of important market segments ranging from buildings and infrastructure to transport, industrial and consumer goods.

The position is located in Malmö, Sweden and reports to the European Business Manager - Coatings.

Beskrivning
As Global Key Account Manager at AkzoNobel you will be a part of the Regional Strategic Market Unit (SMU). You take lead and execute the strategy that is set by the SMU and owning the specific implications for the key accounts. You will be responsible for developing and managing the initiatives for AkzoNobel Wood Coating business to ensure the market success of one of the most important value streams within the business unit.

  • Focus on developing and maintaining key accounts
  • Planning and executing account management and strategic prospecting
  • Drive growth within existing key accounts, as well as identifying and exploiting new opportunities in the defined market space
  • Develop (both internally and externally) the annual Key Account plan
  • Execute a globally agreed prospecting strategy for key accounts, including data gathering, market knowledge, stakeholder and relationship management and tender/offer processes
  • Identifying critical customer needs, and match the Value Proposition to those needs
  • Manage all revenues and costs associated within the activity at the Key Account to maximize impact on account profitability

To be successful in this position you need to be a team player, highly communicative and able to lead, influence and communicate with people on all levels.

  • You will have had strong B2B experience within industrial or heavy industry
  • Expert negotiator and builder solid customer relationships, utilizing your strong presentation skills to grow existing accounts
  • Strong track record of new business prospecting, presenting proposals and closing deals
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively develop and maintain relationships
  • Proven ability to manage key stakeholders
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
