You are offered a challenging position that requires profound technical knowledge, holistic production understanding and advanced project management experience. As a representative for the market leader in paper and board packaging it is crucial that you have the knowledge and experience required to present the company, their solutions and business opportunities in an outstanding manner.  

As our Technical Sales Manager your responsibilities will be to maintain and develop long lasting relationship with our customers. By understanding the production conditions and challenges at our paper and board customers including converting steps, your task is to develop and propose solutions or measures that will either enhance quality, reduce production cost or improve sustainability. Additionally you are responsible for contract negotiations.  

Preferably you have experience from sales but technical know-how, ingenuity and relationship management are far more important skills to succeed in this position. The Scandinavian market has a very strong focus on Sweden but there are also potential and existing customers in Norway and Denmark.

A selection of key responsibilities:

  • First line business contact to specified customers.
  • Coordination of sales activities, technical customer service and project management.
  • Participating in quotes and negotiating commercial terms and contracts.
  • Gathering and reporting business intelligence and competitive situation.
  • Monitoring sales, deliveries and quality issues.
  • Evaluating new business opportunities and applications.    

We are looking for candidate with a Masters or Bachelor degree in Science, a good understanding of or background in Chemistry, excellent command of Swedish and professional command of English. You are highly self-motivated and independent professional with at least 10 year experience from the paper and board business. The position requires travelling in a form of frequent customer visits.

As this representative will cover the Scandinavian market the communication possibilities are essential which is why we believe you live close to either Malmö/Copenhagen or Arlanda. The representative will report to Director Sales North Europe, based in Helsinki.
