Investment Banking internship program
Are you an ambitious business or economics student who ranks among the best in your class?
Seize the opportunity to attend an internship for top-performing students in a rewarding environment at Danske Bank Investment Banking. Each year we offer up to a total of 25 internship positions within Corporate Finance and Leveraged Finance during five periods all year round. As such, you have the possibility to choose which period to attend in order to avoid collisions with e.g. course workload or exchange semesters abroad. The length of each internship period is either ten weeks or twenty weeks.
We are now recruiting students to attend the internship periods starting in January, March and June 2018. Apply before 1 October 2017 to become a full time, full pay, valued member of our driven and professional teams in Stockholm. Five top-performing students in each period will have the chance to take part in a challenging internship where you have the possibility to develop and gain valuable experience for the future.
What’s in it for you?
As a challenger on the Swedish market, Danske Bank is characterised by an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset. We are looking for people who always strive to develop themselves and our organisation. We offer you a high level of responsibility, an inspiring team and an inclusive work environment where you will contribute to our success, today and in the future.
At Corporate Finance, you will get valuable insights into the investment banking industry and experience the Corporate Finance profession in cross-border M&A and ECM activities. Your skills in financial analysis, valuation and strategic thinking will be put to the test. You will gain valuable experiences for your future career and increase your chances of a permanent position at Danske Bank Corporate Finance following the internship.
During your stay with us, you will conduct market research, assist in financial modelling, prepare pitch books and information memorandums, and be involved in all other essential work streams related to M&A and ECM transactions. As such, you will be exposed to all aspects of a transaction and have the opportunity to develop many vital skills for a full time investment banker.
At Leveraged Finance, you will be part of structuring debt financings in support of private equity funds’ acquisitions of companies together with one of the leading teams in the Nordics on a product neutral basis, i.e. with the inclusion of both loans and high-yield bonds including interim bridge loans.
As an intern you will assist, as part of a deal team, in evaluating new financing proposals involving industry and business analysis, financial modelling, structuring and negotiating new transactions as well as preparing applications to the credit committee. Financing is today an integral part of getting a transaction done so your experiences will be valuable regardless if you continue within investment banking or choose to pursue your career within private equity or related areas.
What we are looking for
You have a passion for working in a dynamic and ambitious environment. You are persistent, independent, result oriented, and a quick learning team player. Ideally, you are on the first or second year of your master’s degree within business or economics. You have a special interest in the financial markets in general. You possess strong numerical and analytical skills and are a great communicator. You perform well under pressure and can manage periods of intense workload. Of course, your Swedish and English skills are excellent, both verbally and in writing.
Are you ready for a challenge?
Apply to become an intern at Danske Bank Investment Banking by submitting your application with CV, cover letter and grade transcripts, from both university and upper secondary school, before 2 October 2017.
Please add a comment in your cover letter if:
- one of the periods starting in January, March or June does not work with your schedule, and/or
- Corporate Finance or Leveraged Finance is not of interest.
We evaluate applications on a continuous basis, and schedule interviews accordingly. If you have any questions regarding Danske Bank as a workplace, the internship or about the recruitment process, please do not hesitate to contact Simon Göthberg at email@example.com or by phone: +46 705 80 28 30.
We're looking forward to your application!
Send application and CV no later than 02.10.2017.
