Head of Tax – Atlas Copco
As our current Head of Tax will join Epiroc, Atlas Copco is looking for a new Head of Tax to fulfill the mission to proactively manage tax issues to ensure tax compliance and tax efficiency. The Tax department works with transfer pricing, restructurings, M&A, and tax planning. With subsidiaries in approximately 90 countries, the position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a broad variety of interesting and challenging tax issues in a very successful industrial company.
- Maintain and develop the tax strategy for the Group.
- Lead the central Tax department and coordinate a network of tax professionals in subsidiaries around the world.
- Ensure that transfer pricing practices are compliant with relevant regulations
- Participate in M&A transactions as advisor on tax and legal structure issues.
- Provide advice and support on day-to-day operational tax matters, e.g. restructurings.
- Support in domestic and cross border dispute management and litigations.
The work will be conducted in close cooperation with a number of other internal functions throughout the Group such as Group Accounting, Group Legal, Group Treasury and the operating divisions as well as the subsidiaries around the world. The position requires travelling from time to time.
You have an academic degree in law or business administration/finance and at least 10 years’ experience in the area of taxation, preferably from both tax work within a large multinational, and a tax advisory firm. You have detailed knowledge of Swedish and international corporate income tax law.
You are an analytical problem-solver with good judgment and strong social skills and have a proven ability to initiate and work independently. You manage to work and deliver well under tight deadlines and in stressful situations with the ability to direct and manage complex tax matters.
You are a team player and function well in project teams both as a leader and as a project member.
You should enjoy understanding the business as this helps you add value to the Group.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral) is a must.
