The Building Envelope Coils team is responsible for selling pre-finished steel and HDG to profilers and panel makers that operate in the building envelope / construction market across Europe. Therefore the primary role of an Account Manager in Building Envelope Sector (Coils) is to manage all the day to day aspects of managing a customer who will potentially receive supply from the different manufacturing sites.

On behalf of Tata Steel, we are seeking a passionate and self-driven Account Manager to work operationally with the major Scandinavian Building Envelope Sector - Coil Sales

Description
The Building Envelope Coils team is responsible for selling pre-finished steel and HDG to profilers and panel makers that operate in the building envelope / construction market across Europe. Therefore the primary role of an Account Manager in Building Envelope Sector (Coils) is to manage all the day to day aspects of managing a customer who will potentially receive supply from the different manufacturing sites.


  • Oversee the day to day deployment of agreed strategies and tactics for a portfolio of Building Envelope Supply Chain customers 

  • Monitor performance against a number of specific KPI's, taking corrective action as may be necessary to ensure defined targets are achieved. 

  • To be an overall point of contact with the customer managing the wider account team activities 

  • Principal ownership for managing stocks, deliveries, payments, disputes and customer satisfaction in line with defined sector targets 

  • Develop and execute the account plan for specified customers 

  • Building up an opportunities pipeline to close sales in line with plan 

  • Implementing pricing policies to ensure maximum profitability over all hubs and supply chains. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships at a range of levels within the customer's organisation 

  • Work closely together with the Sector Marketing department 

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the voice of the customer is heard and is acted upon 

  • Responsibility for managing the total relationship with Tata Steel Building Systems in Sweden 

  • Strong supply chain focus 

Profile


  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education 

  • Strong technical background with profound commercial acumen 

  • Around 5 years' experience or more, preferably on Key Account level and towards the construction sector 

  • Proven track record in delivering on targets and increasing revenue 

  • Demonstrate drive in overcoming obstacles that affect ability to excel 

  • Persistence, service minded and results oriented 

  • Highly developed influencing and diplomatic skills and capable of interacting with senior representatives through matrix organisation 

  • Essential to be commercially driven, result focused and provide excellent customer service 

  • Effective interpersonal and sales skills combined with ability to create and preserve excellent customer relations 

  • The position includes significant travel within Sweden and occasional travel abroad 

  • Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and oral, is critical
