Purchasing within Commercial Operations is a department, created to accelerate the integration of the purchasing activities within Scania´s worldwide sales and service organisation. The department is continuously developing new ways of working and can offer a very challenging and entrepreneurial environment. One of our main tasks is to leverage volumes and spend across countries and Business Units.

The tasks ahead of us is challenging with tough goals of savings and value creation to be achieved by bundling volumes, standardization between different countries, and at the same time improve service to our customers. We are now looking for a new sourcing manager to the Central team in Södertälje.

Job Description
Working as a strategic purchaser you will be responsible for the development and implementation of purchasing activities throughout our Business Units. The procurement areas that you will be working with covers a wide range of indirect material categories.

You will be working close to local purchasers throughout the world, but also close to internal customers and central purchasing departments in Södertälje. The work includes responsibility for sourcing strategies, supplier selection and negotiations as well as supplier quality, service and cost development.
Your profile
We are looking for a team player who is commercial, creative and result oriented with a high level of initiative and self-motivation. You are a positive and service minded person that enjoys varied tasks. Another important quality for achieving success in the role is the ability to develop and maintain a broad network of contacts, why you need to be fluent in both written and spoken English. Preferably you have a university degree and several years of commercial experience.
The work requires travelling to some extent.
