Product Manager Software Products to Xylem
The market is quickly changing and Xylem is strengthening its capabilities to meet the future needs of digital offers and services. Many of the upcoming products contain integrated software in different ways and there is a high potential to further enhance the customer experience with new versions of integrated product software.
The Product Manager is responsible for developing, managing and driving profitable business growth for the software product portfolios. This role manages its products through the whole lifecycle by gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, to enable software sales working closely with R&D to delivering and introducing winning solutions to the market in close collaboration with the commercial teams and other stakeholders.
You will build up the software product portfolio and supporting infrastructure as well as collaborate with the commercial teams in their daily work to secure growth.
• Defining the product strategy by develop and execute the product portfolio roadmap. Manage the product life cycle strategy and execution.
• Product development including launches by collaborating with Sales, Marketing, IT and R&D to drive next generation value propositions by a rigorously understanding of the VOC. Develop appealing value proposition. Drive and execute product launches.
• Sales/orders performance and profitability of the products. Carefully follow up product sales, order, price and standard margin with the aim to reach targets, if not identify and drive actions to close the gap. Provide strategic pricing guidelines. Participates in technical meetings, conferences, workshops, industry days, trade shows and association events.
• Responsible for understanding and providing the level of support e.g. training needed for sales channels and supply chain to be successful in selling and growing the portfolio.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Integrated Systems in Sundbyberg and location will be at the Xylems office in Sundbyberg. You will be part of Integrated Systems Product Management team. As the role requires close contacts with the markets, you need to be able to travel.
Is this you?
You have a Master of Science or similar education. To be successful in this role you must have solid experience in new business development. You have potentially a background from start-ups or software products in mature industrial companies. You have a technical background combined with experience in strategic sales and marketing and is commercially focused.
Excellent skills in English, both oral and written, are essential to perform this work as part of a global company. Communication skills in Swedish are a plus.
