Position

The Husqvarna Division is currently searching for a Senior Director Professional Channel. This is a key role within a world-leading company with high ambitions, a clear growth strategy, and a strong culture based on high commitment. You will be responsible for business development globally towards Professional accounts (Commercial, Lawn & Garden) and developing, refining and implementing an extended Sales Distribution business strategy with a global focus.

The Husqvarna Division, with approximately 8500 FTEs, is organized into several functions. One of the functions is Sales with a turnover of approximately 27 billion SEK. The Sales function/organisation have approximately 1300 FTE’s organized in 6 regions. Business is conducted globally by 33 Sales Subsidiaries and approximately 120 Distributors.

The professional distribution channel is rather diverse and incorporates both public and private customers such as Municipalities, Sports clubs, Forestry Schools, Hotel chains, and Private businesses, providing services using products from our industry. The Husqvarna Division has several interesting and challenging business opportunities that the Senior Director Professional Channels have to address. One important challenge is to further expand the distribution of the Brand via direct and indirect means to customers as listed above. This while maintaining the support of the extremely important Professional Servicing Dealer network.

Whilst some of the business will be direct Business to Business (B2B) in nature, it will still be critical that much of the business is transacted locally in the markets and/or via the existing dealer network. Therefore it is vital to drive best practice sharing across the regions. The Senior Director need to work closely with the Sales management team and existing Regional structure where the success factor will be your capability to work both cross functionally within the division, but also with sister divisions in the group to ensure the brand is represented in the most premium way.

Other important challenges will be to build relationships, be an active “voice” in the industry and lobbying where necessary. Developing and collating sector-specific knowhow and derive business development approaches from these together with the regional CLG managers (Commercial Lawn and Garden).  

The Senior Director has one person direct reporting and then also the regional CLG managers that have a dotted line to this role. The Senior Director reports directly to the Vice President Global Sales & Service Husqvarna Division. For this role you can have Europe as your base.

We are looking for someone who have a qualified sales management experience of successful business development within a global and multicultural matrix organization that contains the full spectrum of functions. You have a solid track record of delivering results including experience of driving increased customer focus and sales and market orientation as a means of achieving top and bottom line growth.

Previous experience of B2B and managing Key Accounts in a similar demanding industry is a prerequisite. Experience within Sales as a Service & Solution selling would be beneficial as this will be a key area to develop within our division. High proficiency in spoken and written English is a requirement.

You are able to push for creative business development initiatives that are complemented by professional risk analysis. You combine your strategic ability with target setting and an ability to define action plans. The ability to create an impact both cross divisionally and cross functionally is a must. Your management style is based on delegated responsibilities in combination with continuous and goal oriented follow-up. You take pride in the accomplishments of the business and you live as you learn.
