Senior Institutional Advisor to Danske Bank
Danske Bank is looking for an experienced, analytical and entrepreneurial individual to fill the position as a Senior Institutional Advisor in our Client advisory team in Stockholm.
The Client Advisory team consists of 30 highly specialized analysts and advisors based in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki and Dublin. The team is responsible for strategic advice on capital structure, risk management, hedging and investment solutions to the largest and most complex clients of Danske Bank. Our clients include corporates, banks, pension funds, life/non-life insurance companies and asset managers in the Nordic markets.
You will be part of a team based in Stockholm where you will work closely with your colleagues on specific cases, leading and driving advisory towards Swedish institutional clients. As part of a Nordic team you will also collaborate frequently with colleagues across the Nordic countries by sharing ideas and best practices. This is a unique opportunity to work with the largest institutional clients in Sweden, a segment characterized by constant development.
Working with complex financial challenges and solutions
We expect you to have extensive experience in understanding institutional client’s financial risks and challenges. Preferably, you have good knowledge of Basel III, Solvency II and the local Swedish regulation that affects our clients. It is important that you are self driven, analytical and that you have a very good knowledge of financial markets such as for example FX, interest rates and equities. Preferably, you also have knowledge of alternative investments. You are likely to have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in finance, economics or mathematics and you have outstanding academic records. Your presentation skills are excellent and you are used to communicate complicated quantitative topics in a pedagogical manner to senior client stakeholders.
Furthermore, you are collaborative and used to work in teams. You also have experience in structuring solutions for clients and is able to lead a process from advice to potential execution in close collaboration with the different expert teams in Danske Bank. We expect you to have good IT skills and preferably programming experience as we build most of our advisory tools ourselves in Excel/VBA, Matlab and Python. You speak English and Swedish fluently.
