Working descriptions:
We are looking for a Financial Controller for our customer Novo Nordisk. You will be part of the Accounting & Taxation Team which is a part of the Business area head office and consists of a team of six people, primarily based in Malmo. The team is responsible for Accounting, Taxes, Transfer Pricing and for giving general support to the countries within the business area, including the Regional European office which is based in Ørestad, Copenhagen.

In the role as Financial Controller, you will, on both affiliate and business area level, be expected to deliver high quality accounting services, to ensure accurate financial reporting and to manage the internal control environment. You will act as a finance partner to the affiliates and local Business Support by ensuring financial compliance, accurate accounting and sharing better practices helping the local affiliates to focus on their business operations. You will report directly to the Accounting Director who will also primarily work from Malmö.

You will also be the First Point of Contact for our countries to deliver value adding support that gives our countries time to focus on their Sales and Marketing-activities. You will take great part in your own development in the role as Finance Partner and contribute to the development of our Regional Centre of Excellence. Your areas of responsibility will be:

  • Accurate monthly and yearly financial reporting to HQ, as well to the local authorities
  • Maintain and ensure financial compliance with the agreed set of financial policies and laws
  • Provide accurate financial information for the business
  • Monitor and implement efficient internal financial control systems
  • Manage the Tax and Transfer Pricing compliance according to corporate guidelines
  • Establish guidelines and policiesSupport and be a trusted finance partner to the affiliates


  • Masters´ degree or similar with good results
  • Accounting for at least three years and you have preferably a Financial Controller or Financial Auditor experience
  • You are fluent in both written and spoken English and Swedish
  • Proficient knowledge with Excel, SAP FI and SAP BO

As a person you have strong accounting skills combined with a pro-active mindset and "can do" attitude, you can drive interaction with your key stakeholders, you are focused and take pride in delivering high quality on time and are naturally meticulous. Furthermore, you have strong communication skills, show a high level of energy and good ability to work in a team and are ready to invest time and effort in understanding the business environment in which we operate.

The position is a permanent position with a probationary period of six months. The Accounting & Taxation team is a part of the Business area office and located in "Glasvasen", close to the Central station in Malmö.

The position will be based in our office in Malmö (Sweden) and you will visit the Business area head office in Ørestad (Denmark) two days per month as well as travel to our affiliates in Europe two days per month.
