Develop the supply chain in a world leading company

Husqvarna group is looking for a Supply Chain Development Director who will be responsible (in close interaction with our business divisions) for developing our global supply chain towards a best-in class aspiration where we understand and fulfil our customer demands today and tomorrow. Special attention will be placed on managing the transition towards online sales (sales-driven through various digital channels) and the impacts and changes this has within our global supply chain. This also includes finding the right balance between internal and external supply chain contract management. You have a strategically important role in developing Husqvarnas future supply chain and is a part of a global team. You are a part of a matrix organization and do not have any direct reports. However, you have the responsibility for leading the relevant cross-divisional initiatives needed, effectively managing a full range of key stakeholders and internal decision makers towards defined results.

Your future challenge

  • Ensure a differentiated distribution model where services are adapted to various customer needs

  • Manage the transition into a growing online driven sales channel

  • Evaluate and benchmark our current distribution network towards the best-in-class in comparable industries by identifying and working with key-metrics

  • Establish a global cost transparency within the Group following the principles of activity based costing in the warehouses and distribution networks

  • Challenge and review the current warehouse and distribution footprints

  • Communicate with stakeholders globally within various business divisions and get an understanding for customer needs

  • Assess core competencies and evaluate in-house vs. outsourcing areas

  • Work on a short-term stepwise approach towards long-term targets

  • Manage the overall planning, status reporting, stability and delivery of complex projects across several functions and divisions. Ensure delivery with regards to time, cost and quality

  • Facilitate steering team meetings on a regular basis

  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders across all divisions and functions

  • Report project progress and issues to relevant decision bodies at an early stage

We see that you have worked several years at the strategic level within a large multinational cooperation. You have experience from a producing company or the logistics business. It is meriting if you have managed a shift in the supply chain to an online sales distribution set up.

The position is located in Huskvarna, Sweden or Ulm, Germany and requires an extensive ability to travel.
