Accounting Manager to Gate Retail

We are now looking for a highly driven, hands-on and flexible Accounting Manager to Gate Retail. The position is responsible for a team of nine and for securing internal and external reporting. The right candidate has a BSc in Business administration or similar and 8-10 years of relevant accounting experience with a few years in a manager position, preferably from a transaction intensive business.
As the Swedish subsidiary of Gate Retail has recently been incorporated into Gate Group globally there is an ongoing process of developing processes, systems etc which the accounting manager will mainly be responsible for. Therefor we are looking for a candidate with a flexible state of mind and the ability to handle and leading change. The position includes leading a team divided between Kista and Tibro and the right candidate has a strong interest in coaching and leadership. You really enjoy working in a fast paced environment with high demands. Your English and Swedish is fluent and the position reports to the Finance Manager based in Luton, UK.
The position is placed in Kista and travel may be included.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development of the accounting department
- Responsible for month-end closing, balance sheet revaluation and reconciliation
- Responsible for reporting monthly financials to Group Finance
- Responsible for year-end closing, annual report and tax filing
- Continuous improvements of accounting processes and routines
- Contact person for external counterparties (Tax authorities, auditors)
