Gazella seeks to recruit a Chief Financial Officer to Bluefish Pharmaceuticals, to join their executive management team. You will be based in Stockholm and report to the Chief Executive Officer who is currently based abroad. As CFO, you will participate in key decisions, assist in formulating the company’s future direction and support tactical initiatives. You will manage the finance team and contribute to the accomplishment of the Bluefish Leadership team objectives. The responsibilities include monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic business plans, the development of financial and tax strategies as well as management of the capital request and budgeting processes. Your Challenge
Develop performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction
Manage accounting, investor relations, tax, and treasury as well as outsourced functions
Oversee and manage the company’s finance operations in Sweden and abroad, including responsibility for site management at the Stockholm office
Analyze, improve and optimize financial processes including implementing operational best practices
Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions
Manage risk and report issues to the audit committee of the board of directors
Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements as well as requirements of auditors and government agencies
Report financial results to the board of directors and collaborate closely with the management team
Arrange for debt and equity financing

Your Background
We are seeking a candidate with a strong academic background and at least five years of experience as a CFO with solid experience in reporting, budgeting and controlling as well as thorough knowledge of systems, processes and procedures related to finance. You have a broad financial background with strong comprehension of IFRS and Swedish accounting principles as well as significant experience of international fundraising. Experience from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage, not a requirement. Your lingual skills include fluency in Swedish and English.

Furthermore you have the ability to acquire a broad perspective on the issues of the company and are responsive to the company’s needs.
