To the Digital Machining Innovation team – where we all share a passion for innovation and developing new solutions – we are looking for a Project Leader for the area Embedded Systems – someone who wants to be part of a new area in our business from an early stage, drive exciting initiatives and develop their own leadership. The location for the position is Sandviken, Sweden.

Key performance areas
As Project Leader within Embedded Systems, you lead projects in product development to ensure delivery according to set project objectives and in alignment with Sandvik’s overall project models. You are accountable for projects concerning development of electronic hardware and firmware devices, cutting tools with embedded sensors and electronics, mechatronic devicesand certification of electronic devices. You also create a developing setting by training and coaching your project team members.

You report directly to the Manager Intelligent Tools.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a university degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Signal analysis or Computer Science or with equal knowledge and experience gained from a working career. You demonstrate strong track record in successfully leading teams and projects from start to finish. It is advantageous if you also have track record specifically in having launched new products related to embedded systems to the market. You also have good knowledge about agile product development, Scrum and test driven development. Additionally, it is advantageous if you have good understanding of software development; C/C++, Python, C#, .NET, Qt/PyQt, Html5, Javascript, Css and Django; and as we act on the international arena, your communication skills in English and Swedish are excellent, both verbally and in writing
