Technical Sales Representative Construction Nordics

You will work against the Nordic Construction industry, mainly with paint and coatings customers. 

We are now looking for a new Technical Sales Representative who will be responsible for expanding existing customers and, to some extent, identify new customers in the Nordic. The role includes an responsibility for Principal Management development and technical support function for the other members in the team. Actively ensure that the products meet clientꞋs requirements /expectations and provide support on product development.

Our customers are manufacturer of paint, coatings, adhesives, concrete and cements. Contact persons will mainly be purchasers, owners and development engineers. Omya is also representing different principals of various forms of chemicals and pigments which are, for instance, included in the paint manufacturing.

It is about managing many internal and external stakeholders in order to make business run smoothly. In addition responsibility  for setting pricing and service levels will be a part of the duties.

We are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of experience from complex B2B selling characterized by long sales cycles and key account management. Experience from paint, coatings, adhesives, concrete and cements is considered an advantage. Besides having extensive selling skills you need to possess good technical knowledge and genuine interest - and be able to grasp information and education within this area.

You have a MSc in business administration or engineering or equivalent. Education in chemistry is considered an advantage. You need to be fluent in English and Swedish.

The position is based out of Omya’s office in Malmö, but other locations may be discussed. The candidate can expect extensive travel in Scandinavia and occasionally to other group locations. You will report to Head of Sales Construction Nordics.
